The KJT is a Texas fraternal benefit insurance organization that unites its members into societies in parishes throughout the state. The family fraternal exists for the mutual benefit of its members, and they in turn help their local parish and community through volunteerism. The mission of the Catholic Union of Texas, the KJT, is to provide fraternal, financial, and insurance programs for its members and to promote family relationships through fraternal activities of its societies and religious programs of the Catholic Church.
St. Joseph’s Society No. 57 was organized on July 1, 1910. There were seven charter members: Jan Bigon, Jan J. Brenek, Jos. J. Horava, Michael Stagent, Petr. Horava and Vinc. Simecek.
